Mother going nutz!

Being pregnant isn't easy you know...
I have to go to bed early so I get enough sleep to make it through the next day and so that I don't get cranky (which doesn't always happen - just ask Adam). I have to put up with crazy hurricanes inside my tummy, usually they strike around the wee hours of the morning after I have gotten up to go to the toilet for the millionth time that night. It's really hard to bend down, I can't see my toes and it's really hard to get out of bed, sometimes it's coz I don't want to get out of bed, but most of the time it's coz I can't physically get out of bed without the help of a crane and I'm not talking bout the bird variety. My body has random parts that ache for some stoopid reason, like my back, my feet, my belly (well I know why this part gets sore), my bum and the list goes on. Driving is going to be sucky for a few reasons a) I've had to move my seat back so my belly doesn't get in the way, and for those of you who know that I have short legs, will also know that the moving of the chair means I can't reach the pedals real goodly now! and b) It's so hard to get out of the car! I sometimes honk the horn, not coz I'm trying to get attention, but coz I'm trying to get in or out... NOT COOL!! Coz when you honk the horn, people think you are requesting their attention, and when I'm looking like a big fat fatty trying to get out of the car and I look like I've had too many cheese burgers, the attention is not so welcome.
I guess because of my original size before becoming pregnant, unless you know me, most people think that I am just a fatty. I wish I could wear a shit saying, "BABY ON BOARD - NOT CHEESE BURGERS!". But really, I don't care what people think.
While I am complaining whole heartedly about all this, I am in fact in good condition. I can still work, I can still walk, even if I do look like a little (or HUGE, which ever adjective you prefer) duck! As Adam said, we are very excited about having this baby. It is still a little scary as well, especially for me coz I still have to do the part where you breath funny and listen to people yelling "PUSH!!!". But I am sure it will be worth all the pain in the end, and if it's not, there's always the monkey adoption program for next time! :D
Love you all lots!

Not long now

Here at Ground Zero we are T-12 weeks from D-Day. I have been preparing by staying up late, and getting minimal hours of sleep. Last Friday I handed in my resignation, and in about 4 - 6 weeks, I will find myself with more time on my hands than I've had in the past 4.754 years. It will then be only 6 weeks until due date and I will be around the house a bit more to take care of Née and also the domestic duties that require due attention.
We are both very excited for what is to come. Née is having a 3D scan on the 15th September, so that should be pretty interesting. She will be finding out the sex of the baby, but I have asked her not to tell me, as I want to keep it a surprise.

Daddy goes to the markets!

I've decided our baby's room will have a "bugs and grubs" theme because it just so happens that I have a cute cot set from Mum that has snails and caterpillars on it and I have also got a few other things that have various bugs and grubs on them, so it seems like it was meant to be... :) It's all VERY CUTE! Anyway, I told Adam about this theme idea and he said he'd go with it.
Today Adam and I went to the Chandler markets where my Mum has (recently) set up a stall where she sells second hand baby clothes, all of which are in SCHMICK condition. While we were hanging around and talking to my Mum and Dad, Adam decided to have a look at some of the cute clothes Mum has in her stall.
He found a cute little green one piece outfit with a snail on the front and he asked my mum how much it was. Mum said 50c so Adam decides that's a bargain and buys it. He came to show me and said "Look, it fits with our 'bugs and grubs' theme". I smiled and told him he will be a great Dad!
New baby page

This is the first entry in our brand new baby page. I decided to try RapidWeaver instead of making it all manually - cause I was being a bit slack and slow.
The baby is approximately 14 weeks away, and Née and I are both very excited. We have received tonnes of free stuff from family members, so we're pretty much set.
We'll be updating this site hopefully often as the date grows closer, and we'll continue to update it once the baby is born.
Damn I'm such a nerd...
